Absolutely beautiful location. Not difficult to find once you realize that it comes up on (Hidden by Airbnb) maps if you search “La Casa de vida natural”

Private, spacious, clean, and Hot (but expected). Beautiful view from the outhouse. Expect lizards and mosquitos. Look for headlamps above the door for an outing in the night. No indoor plumbing, but ample water provided and amenities for washup, sitting, and dining. There is electricity. Edison type strung lighting adding a hint of charm. Jyl, our host was quick to respond to questions and willing to accommodate our need to store luggage, although, turns out was not needed.

Todo está igual que en la foto, acceso fácil. La comunicación es buena. Lugar tranquilo para pasar la noche. Debería mejorar la limpieza.

Great place to stay. Wonderful “glamping” experience. Hosts were unavailable in person but very quick to respond to our queries. We stayed here with an infant and a young child and they loved the yurt as well as the two friendly cats. Night sounds and sights at the Yurt and outside it, are simply amazing, with fireflies and crickets. It gave a great feel of what camping in a rainforest would be like. The Yurt was clean and comfortable. The dining chairs need to be improved. We have no other concerns about staying in the yurt and look forward to visiting the place again soon!

A great place to stay – we really appreciated the early check-in and beauty of the location. Just note that if you don’t have transportation pre-arranged and plan to use Uber, it will always take about 20min to arrive. Good to know in order to plan!

Loved our stay at La Casa! The grounds were absolutely beautiful. Jyl was great and greeted us right after we arrived. I enjoyed the free coffee in the room. Nothing could beat the view, the quiet, relaxed vibe, and the sounds of the forest coming through the windows. I definitely recommend staying here!

This room is incredible, the views are breathtaking and it is very clean. It was amazing to fall asleep to the sound of the rainforest. Be ready for cold showers but have gorgeous views of the rainforest. Unfortunately Hurricane Maria damaged much of the property so some of the farm elements that were advertised were not there. Overall, a great stay and looking forward to doing it again!

We really enjoyed the entire atmosphere!!! All the sounds of the rainforest surrounding us. The cottage was a perfect way to experience it all and had the basics needed. The view was beyond amazing. The sunrise beams right into your bedroom window, welcoming you to the wonderful day ahead! It is the rainforest so there are some lizards and spiders but nothing that bothered us. After a couple of days they weren’t around there much, at least not that we noticed. The hostess was very flexible to our late check in from our flight and often asked how things were as we passed through but we had a lot of privacy as well. Definitely would recommend, very central to a lot of things and the best way to truly experience the rainforest!!!

Excellent stay in the rainforest! Though our visit was short it was not to be forgotten. The presence of the coquís were definitely felt and heard, and it was certainly special to be lulled to sleep at night by their sounds. Beautiful property, we cant wait to return.

Amazing jungle experience! We loved our stay near the rain forest! It only took 30 minutes to get here from the airport and my family enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. My kids loved to explore and see some of the wildlife. Thanks for letting us stay at your home. f

It was a great place to watch the Blood Super Moon. Beautiful views from all over the property. And since you are in the rain forest falling asleep to the sounds of nature was fantastic. Jyl was a great host. Oh, and get breakfast, very delicious.

I really enjoyed staying in this secluded part of the rainforest. Kevin took really well care of me and even picked me up when the Uber got lost on the way. He was very friendly and helped with advice on what to do.

John was a wonderful host. We were unable to rent a car so when we got lost with our Uber driver he came and picked us up. He also helped us get dinner and took care of us until we left. The actual place is beautiful! Fireflies at night, two cute puppers and a friendly little hung out with us when we were out. You can really enjoy the rainforest here. So calm and peaceful–we absolutely loved it!

The location is absolutely amazing and you are in the middle of nature even though you are just minutes away from shopping and nightlife. The outdoor shower gives you a million dollar view of the El Yunque forest and the room was clean and spacious. I will absolutely return if I come back to Puerto Rico. Absolutely amazing hosts.

We decided to stay at La Casa’s place because of its proximity to the El Yunque rainforest–it’s practically part of it! While it turned out we had to drive out and back in order to to El Yunque proper, it was still an amazing stay in nature. This is not a pristine condo on the ocean, but a tidy and quirky low-tech retreat in the lush forest. No AC, wifi, or other luxuries, but you’re enveloped by the sounds and smells of nature. I had the best night sleep of our entire trip because of the Coqui (frogs), insects, and occasional rain was hypnotic; if frogs keep you up at night then this may not be the best place. If they don’t keep you up then you’re not going to believe how many creatures will lull you to sleep. This is a fantastic home to get some respite at while enjoying the beautiful sweeping vistas during the day, and the natural sounds at night; we would absolutely stay here again.

True to the pictures! The view was beautiful, very private, cute little place for a couples getaway. We fell in love and will come back in future. Away from all city noise, surrounded by rainforest noise…

The house overlooks the rainforest with a gorgeous view from the porch. Overall it’s very comfortable & has everything you would need. And bonus it came with two adorable puppies that greeted us in the driveway. Will definitely stay again next time I’m in Rio Grande.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Such a quaint little escape in the rainforest. Very unique and would definitely recommend this experience. The puppies are so friendly and adorable!

Quaint cabin with a beautiful view that reaches the ocean. We especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the evening when the rain suddenly rolled in, drinking coffee and playing with the two adorable dogs on the property. Loved sleeping with the sounds of the crickets and frogs in the forest. Would definitely recommend!

La Casa was a great place. The location is in the rain forest and very close to the wedding venue I was going to, Hacienda Siesta Alegre. I could have walked there but my friend dropped me off after the wedding and it was only a couple of minutes away. I took a warm shower and went to bed. I feel asleep to the sounds of the forest. It was so nice. When I woke up in the morning I really didn’t want to leave. The only thing that may be a concern is that its a natural place, I didn’t see an A/C which may be a turn off for some but wasn’t a big deal to me. I was able to relax, have a beer on the porch and listen the the forest. Very nice way to start the afternoon.
Zack
What a beautiful spot! We arrived in San Juan from a cruise early on Saturday morning, and Jill let us drop off our bags early so we could go explore El Yunque nearby. We were also greeted by the two most adorable puppies who we quickly became friends with. It is hot, even at night, so what I recommend is taking a cool shower before hopping into the bed. Also, I had no idea that a rainforest could be so loud, but it is teeming with wildlife – light sleepers may want to bring some earplugs. Nevertheless, this was the best AirBNB experience I’ve had to date. The cottage is small but beautiful, and the puppies were the cherry on top. If we didn’t have a flight out the next day, we would have definitely loved to have stayed a few more days. I would recommend this to any couple or person looking to experience a nice cottage near the rainforest.
Andi
Loved this place! The cottage was bright, spacious, and cheerful. The decor gave a sense of being at home. Surroundings were beautiful, relaxing, and a great accompaniment for a day exploring El Yunque. The host was super helpful and attentive, even responding us in the early morning when we realized we had forgotten to pack soap. Would definitely book again if we come back to El Yunque in the future.

Peace, and beautiful views. This place was so beautiful we didn’t want to leave. We had everything we needed to be comfy. Definitely stay here!

What a wonderful place to stay! The little cottage is surrounded by glorious greenery, fruit trees, and spectacular views. The hosts are warm, laid back, sweet people; they fed us delicious food and coffee, and were extremely helpful with advice and directions for each of our days excursions. Would go back in a heartbeat!

If you’re looking for natural beauty, this is the place to go. On the property they have huge mango and eucalyptus trees, and an ylang ylang tree too (which I had never seen before!) The house is charming, clean and comfortable. I went to bed hearing the sounds of nature and could truly disconnect while in total comfort. Everything from check in to check out was smooth. I’ll be back – hopefully for a lot longer next time!

Feels like staying in the middle of your own jungle!

Such hospitable people! They stayed up late for us to check in and walked us to our little condo on the property. At breakfast they gave us coffee, fresh grown papaya and bananas, as well as coconuts before we ventured to the rainforest. Lovely people with great views and quiet ambience. Only the frogs and crickets could be heard. Amazing
